Guidelines
The following are NOT ALLOWED in the House or property at any time:
· Alcohol/Drugs
· Non-approved health medications
· Mental illness medication (psychotropics and any/all mood or mind altering substances)
· Lit cigarettes
· Weapons, explosives, fireworks
· Over-the-counter items such as mouthwash with alcohol, vanilla extract, inhalants, diet pills or other stimulants, sleeping aids or other depressants (check with management for any questionable items)
When leaving the house: all ceiling fans, lights, televisions, and radios are to be turned off. Lock all doors and windows. Your personal belongings are NOT covered by insurance.
Be considerate with the neighbors and your fellow residents. The volume of television, music and your voices need to be considered at all times, but especially during early morning hours and after 9:00 pm.
Keep the house clean and orderly. Make your bed as soon as you get up and keep your clothes, shoes, toiletries and other belongings organized. Clean up after yourself. Wash your dishes immediately in order to prevent roaches and other insect problems. Place garbage bags in the garbage containers outside on trash pickup day.
No flushing tampons or cigarette butts down the toilet. No cooking oils, grease, bleach or other solvents down the drains.
Guests (Sponsors or friends in recovery) are allowed, with permission until 8:00 pm.
ABSOLUTELY NO OVERNIGHT GUESTS OR SEXUAL ACTIVITIES ON THE PREMISIS. NO MALE GUESTS PERMITTED ON PROPERTY.
Personal items left behind after vacating will be considered abandoned and will be disposed of.
All residents must be in the house during the hours of 11 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. Monday-Thursday and 12:00 midnight – 6:00am Friday and Saturday.
Six (6) months minimum residence at R.Y.A.N. Hope House.
Strict adherence to all rules, regulations, and Policies of R.Y.A.N. Hope House. This includes all rules detailed in the House Rules as well as specific directives by R.Y.A.N. Hope House staff.
Attend weekly house meetings, and seven outside AA, NA, Christ Centered Recovery meetings per week and all other required classes, seminars, retreats.
Abide by R.Y.A.N, Hope House curfews (in house by 10:00 pm weeknights, 11:00 pm Friday & Saturday)
Obtain work, attend school, go to outpatient therapy, or participate in volunteer work for the duration of residence.
Must be continually working a 12 Step program of recovery under the guidance of a Sponsor.
